Компания НР представила технологию HP FlexFabric, позволяющую объединить тысячи серверов и систем хранения данных в виртуализированную высокопроизводительную сеть.

FlexFabric представляет собой технологический пласт новой архитектуры HP Converged Infrastructure, объединяющий технологии, инструменты управления и экосистемы решений HP ProCurve и HP Virtual Connect (VC). Такое объединение создает условия для переноса интеллектуальных сетевых функций из ядра ближе к серверным подключениям, что способствует повышению производительности, гибкости и интенсивности использования, говорится в сообщении HP.

Впервые сетевые соединения и полоса пропускания могут быть полностью виртуализированы – от сервера до ядра сети. В итоге предприятия получают решение «сеть как сервис», позволяющее обращаться к ресурсам «на лету», подчеркнули в HP.

Виртуальная сетевая структура формируется из вычислительных систем, сетевых решений и систем хранения данных, физическое подключение которых к системе осуществляется лишь один раз и впоследствии не меняется. Такой подход, как уверены в HP, придаст центрам обработки данных определенную гибкость – способность масштабироваться в большую или меньшую сторону в соответствии с быстро меняющимися потребностями.

По мере расширения виртуальной архитектуры организациям необходима всё более тесная координация между сетевыми администраторами и администраторами серверов, что позволяет снизить затраты и оптимизировать их работу. Технология HP FlexFabric обеспечивает такую координацию, одновременно консолидируя несколько протоколов в единую сетевую структуру и, тем самым, создавая условия для того, чтобы структура сети становилась менее сложной, а затраты сокращались. Подход, основанный на однократном физическом подключении устройств, сводит воедино сети Ethernet и сети хранения. В результате сетевые соединения и пропускная способность легче адаптируются к изменениям рабочих нагрузок, пояснили в HP.

В целом HP FlexFabric предоставляет клиентам следующие возможности: экономию ИТ-бюджетов; обеспечение динамичности развития бизнеса и сокращение времени развертывания сервисов; гарантированную защиту инвестиций в существующие сети ЦОД.
